The Main Street Museum
Our two-story museum at 3216 Main Street occupies a former village schoolhouse. Both floors are filled with donated artifacts and exhibits on Cabot's history, and the building keeps its nineteenth-century character — including a restored painted stage curtain and a wood stove that warms the ground floor in cool weather. A research center with photographs, newspaper clippings, manuscripts, and digital records is available to those exploring family or local history.
The West Hill Schoolhouse
Our restored one-room schoolhouse recreates a New England school of the 1800s, complete with period books, desks, and school maps. It is open by appointment and makes a wonderful stop for families and school groups.
Events & Meetings
The Society holds meetings from May through October, and offers seasonal programs and exhibits through the summer. To confirm current hours, arrange a group visit, or ask about upcoming events, please get in touch — we're always glad to hear from you.
Before You Come
Hours can vary seasonally and around events, and the Main Street building has no telephone on site. If you're traveling any distance, we recommend confirming ahead by email or by calling us at (802) 424-2531.
